In July 2025 Diriyah Company signed a SAR 5.75 billion construction contract with the branch of China Harbour Engineering Company to develop the Diriyah Arena project. The contract covers the arena building, three mixed-use office buildings with a total area of about 114,000 square metres, and parking for more than 4,000 cars. The arena is designed as a flexible venue for concerts and celebrations, sporting events, esports competitions, exhibitions and live shows. Its design, by HKS, draws on the natural geology around Diriyah and on traditional Najdi architecture. Diriyah Company unveiled the Grand Avenue, which encompasses the Grand Mosque and Diriyah Arena, at MIPIM 2026 in Cannes (SPA, 16 July 2025; Diriyah Company, 22 July 2026).
