Who we are

Engineers Talk is a community platform for engineering, construction and major projects in Saudi Arabia. It publishes a directory, news, tools and events, and it runs sessions where people meet in person.

Using this site, registering, or attending a session means you accept what is written here.

Registering

You must be 18 or older to register. Give details that are true and that are yours to give; if you register on behalf of a company, you are saying you are allowed to.

Registering is not a membership, a subscription or a promise of a place at any session. We may decline or withdraw a registration, and we do not have to say why.

Your personal information

When you register we collect your name and email, and the phone number, organisation, role, country and interests you choose to add. We use them to contact you about Engineers Talk, to invite you to sessions, and to understand who the community is. We do not sell them and we do not pass them to anyone for their own marketing.

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will act on it.

We keep registrations for as long as the community is running, and remove them when you ask.

Photography and recording at events

Sessions and events are photographed and sometimes filmed or recorded. By attending, you agree that we may use those photographs, video and audio, including your image, voice and anything you say, to publish and promote Engineers Talk on our website, on social media, in presentations and in print.

You are not paid for this and you do not keep a claim over the material. If you would rather not appear, tell the team when you arrive and we will keep you out of frame; if you find yourself in something already published, write to us and we will take it down.

Other attendees may take their own photographs. We do not control what they do with them.

Attending in person

You attend at your own responsibility, and you look after your own belongings. We are not responsible for anything lost, left behind, damaged or stolen at a session or an event, whether it is yours or someone else's.

Follow the instructions of the venue and of our team. We may ask anyone to leave, and may change or cancel a session, its date, its place or its guests at any time.

What is published here

The directory and the tools are gathered from published sources, and each entry links to the source it came from. Listing something is not an endorsement of it, and it does not mean a partnership exists. Names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners.

Nothing here is engineering, legal, financial or professional advice. Verify anything you intend to act on with the original source and with a qualified professional.

If something published about you or your company is wrong, out of date, or should not be here, write to us and we will correct or remove it.

What you send us, whether a company entry, a suggestion or a question, you are giving us permission to publish and to edit for length and clarity.

Links to other sites

This site links out a great deal, because a directory that does not show its sources is not worth much. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what is on them.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page says when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the courts of the Kingdom have jurisdiction over any dispute.
