WHY IT MATTERS

Let me explain

The terminal covers 97,000 square metres with capacity for up to 15 million passengers a year, advanced operating systems and a separate facility for group check-in of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, along with first-class and business lounges and a duty-free market of more than 987 square metres. The first airlines to move were Wizz Air, AJet and SalamAir, with further airlines transferring in phases. The airport handled a record 53.4 million passengers in 2025, and the Aviation Program of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy targets more than 90 million passengers a year through the airport by 2030 (Jeddah Airports Company via SPA, 26 September 2026; King Abdulaziz International Airport, 29 September and 16 October 2026).
