WHY IT MATTERS

Let me explain

Eng. Ibrahim Al-Sultan, CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, reviewed the project's latest progress at the Government Press Conference organised by the Ministry of Media and hosted by King Salman Park on 12 October 2026. The park covers more than 17 million square metres in the heart of Riyadh. Large parts of the phase-one infrastructure are complete, and planting and the delivery of facilities and public spaces are continuing, to integrate with the park's cultural, artistic, sports and entertainment landmarks. The project also includes more than 30,000 housing units. No overall completion percentage was given. A day earlier, on 11 October 2026, the King Salman Park Foundation appointed Dale Chadwick as its CEO as the project advances toward its next stage of development, implementation and operational readiness. According to the park, Chadwick has more than 30 years of international experience in construction, development and project management, has worked on mixed-use projects worth more than US$20 billion, and has been with King Salman Park for almost four years as its Chief Development Officer (King Salman Park, 11 and 12 October 2026; SPA, 11 October 2026).
