Qiddiya golf course: 18 holes by Sir Nick Faldo beneath the Tuwaiq cliffs

Qiddiya City's 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Sir Nick Faldo and set against the 200-metre cliffs of the Tuwaiq Mountains, is scheduled to open to the public in 2026.

WHY IT MATTERS

Let me explain

The course uses a '3 hole return' layout so players can complete shorter loops, has floodlighting for evening play and is designed to challenge professionals while remaining accessible to amateurs, with learning pathways for beginners. It will be complemented by a clubhouse, driving range and academy designed by Patterson's, opening from 2028: a green-roofed structure open to the public that links the golf clubhouse, a social wellness hub and the academy, with fitness and wellness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools and food and beverage outlets. The venue is expected to attract more than 200,000 visitors a year. Qiddiya City is also a global partner of the Faldo Series and will host its events in the Kingdom (Qiddiya; SPA).
