Qiddiya Speed Park Track reaches 42% completion

Construction continues on Qiddiya City's Speed Park Track, the circuit being developed to host major motorsport events including Formula 1. A 42% completion figure was reported by Beth Press Agency (July 2026) and shared again by @addadruh on 13 October 2026, after Qiddiya had announced 39% in April 2026.

WHY IT MATTERS

Let me explain

The track has 21 counterclockwise corners, including Turn 1 «The Blade» — the world's first cantilevered corner at 70 m high (about 20 storeys) — 108 m of elevation change per lap, a top speed above 325 km/h, and 80 garages. The design mixes open and street-circuit layouts by Hermann Tilke and Alex Wurz. Construction began in 2024; the Saudi Motorsport Company chairman expects the track ready in 2027 and Formula 1 to move there in 2028 or 2029. The track and infrastructure contract is with Unimac at an estimated SR 1.8 billion.
